The Story
Kellerei Bolzano is one of the great cooperative cellars of northern Italy — not just a production facility but an institution that defines what Bolzano's wine culture means. The specialty here is Lagrein, the indigenous dark-berried grape that grows almost exclusively around Bolzano.
The Lagrein from here is the benchmark. Earthy, full, with a structure that rewards patience. The cellar architecture is also worth seeing — one of the most beautifully designed wine spaces in South Tyrol.
Signature Wines

Lagrein Gries Riserva
The definitive Lagrein — earthy, structured, from the Gries area that is the grape's true home.

Santa Maddalena Classico
South Tyrol's most historic red — Schiava with a touch of Lagrein, light and food-friendly.

The CinCin Notes
Kellerei Bolzano is where you go specifically for Lagrein — the grape that is Bolzano's signature contribution to Italian wine. The cellar is architecturally interesting and the wines are among the finest cooperative productions in Italy.
Pair a tasting here with lunch at the Bolzano market — that's the right South Tyrolean afternoon.
