Hafling / Avelengo
Miramonti Boutique Hotel
High above Merano, where the forest thickens and the view stretches wide across the Etsch Valley, MIRAMONTI sits like a quiet lookout point. Not a hotel that imposes itself — rather one that works through atmosphere: light, space and openness.

Our take
Why we love it
Position above Merano — forest behind, wide valley views ahead
Forest sauna among the trees: a spa concept rarely found elsewhere
Five room worlds with a clear character — reduced, spacious, honest in materials
Hosts Carmen and Klaus Alber: personal, calm, with a distinctive signature
Three restaurants — from regional Stube to fine dining with panoramic views
“Forest sauna elevated among the trees — with views across the canopy into the valley.”
Dining
Food & Drink
Three restaurants under one roof: the Klassik Restaurant with light Italian cuisine, the Panorama Restaurant for fine dining overlooking the Etsch Valley, and the Stube for regional South Tyrolean cooking. Wine tastings with the hosts and a dedicated focus on coffee culture.
Spa & Sport
Wellness & Activities
Infinity pool with valley views, onsen pool, forest sauna elevated among the trees, yoga and activity house, forest therapy in the surrounding woodland. The wellness concept works consistently with the surrounding nature — not against it.
Your time here
What your days could look like
Morning: breakfast overlooking the Etsch Valley, light comes early into the valley. Midday: walk through the forest down to Merano, or a long morning in the spa. Evening: fine dining at the Panorama Restaurant, wine tasting with the hosts.
Location
The Area
Hafling sits on a quiet plateau above Merano — with direct access to forest and nature, but only minutes from the city. Merano itself: Mediterranean climate, thermal baths, cafés and city life. Summer: hiking and mountain biking directly from the hotel, riding in the Hafling region. Winter: Meran 2000 ski area, snowshoeing, winter walking trails.
People
The Hosts
Run by Carmen and Klaus Alber, with a clear signature: personal, calm, deliberately reduced. The hotel feels less like an operation, more like a curated place.
