The Story
Kellerei Meran is one of South Tyrol's finest cooperative cellars — a model where dozens of small growers pool their fruit and share in the quality of what's made. The result is wines that carry the character of the whole Merano area rather than a single estate.
The whites are what to focus on: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer from vineyards that have been worked by the same families for generations. The cellar architecture is worth seeing — modern, designed with care, integrated into the landscape.
Philosophy
How we work.
Small growers, shared quality — the cooperative model done right
Indigenous varieties alongside international benchmarks
Alpine viticulture — altitude as an ingredient
Signature Wines

Pinot Blanc Merus
The cellar's benchmark white — mineral, precise, the alpine character fully expressed.

Gewürztraminer
The grape that originates in these valleys — floral, spiced, impossible to replicate elsewhere.

Pinot Noir Zeno
South Tyrol's finest red grape — light in colour, serious in structure.
The Feeling
Feels like
A tasting room that takes wine as seriously as the vineyards outside.
Best time
Morning tastings — the cellar is cool and quiet
Perfect for
The CinCin Notes
Kellerei Meran is where you go to understand what South Tyrolean wine really is. The whites are exceptional — particularly the Pinot Blanc and the Gewürztraminer, which tastes of the exact valley you're standing in.
Book a tasting, not just a purchase. The context matters here.
